Regional sales manager – Southern Europe

LKAB Wassara is part the LKAB Group and a part of the Special Products Business Area and delivers cutting-edge water-powered technology to complex drilling projects worldwide. The business concept is to offer the mining and construction industry complete drilling systems for efficient and environmentally friendly drilling, based on our core competence in water-powered drilling.

We at LKAB Wassara conduct long-term marketing work and today have customers in all parts of the world. We further develop our technology through intensive Research and Development, and we launch new products and systems that bring unique benefits to our customers.

LKAB Wassara has a total of about 60 employees located at the head office and production facility in Huddinge, south of Stockholm and the Drilling Technology Center in Malmberget and Kiruna.

About the role

LKAB Wassara is in a growth phase and now needs to supplement the Marketing Department with a Regional Sales Manager in the European Region. With clear goals and a strong mindset, and together with supportive managers and colleagues, you contribute to the positive sales growth within your market.

In this role, you report to the LKAB Wassara CEO and you are responsible for Sales and Marketing within your region and additionally actively participate in LKAB Wassaras global Sales and Marketing activities and development.


Your responsibilities

• Identify market potential within our segments and develop long-term customer relationships in an international market, primarily in Southern Europe.

• Proactively drive sales in our Drilling and Surveying Systems and related products for varying applications.

• Continuously follow the market's needs / development / trends and propose product development needs in collaboration with our own R&D Department.

• Coordinate with LKAB Wassara’s Marketing Department for the planning and execution of marketing activities, campaigns, etc. within your region.

The job involves regular international travel, mainly within Europe. Home office is located in Huddinge, in the southern part of Stockholm.

Your qualifications

We believe that a successful candidate has a relevant academic degree in economics / technology / marketing or equivalent and a solid and documented experience in Technical B2B International Sales.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in International Sales and Market Development is required. Regardless of background, an interest in technology and a solid understanding of mechanics are a crucial prerequisite for success in this assignment.

Previous experience from, for example, Drilling systems and/or Surveying systems (surveying tools such as gyro, EMS, etc.) is a strong advantage for any candidate. As previously stated, LKAB Wassara is in a growth phase, the ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, and the ability to recognize and pursue opportunities are crucial qualities.

In short, you have Sales and Business Development in you, and are inspired by success as well as finding new paths and innovation in the face of adversity.

You work in a structured way, are a committed, trustworthy, and experienced international negotiator who takes responsibility for your approach.

This position requires a Swedish drivers license and the ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional business-level proficiency in German, French, Spanish or Italian is a requirement for success in this position.
