For reinforcement of a large dam (height 250+ meters) we usually use very slow diamond core drilling. Would it be possible to replace this with water-powered drilling, meaning casing down to 100+ meters in softer formation?

We have not yet experience from casing a dam down to 100+ meters and this is of course dependent on the geology conditions. However, we do have experience from casing drilling with the Wassara technology down to as much as 137+ meters in another application (geoenergy). We therefore believe it should be able to realize such a project – given that the project is well prepared and that the geology distribution is known.
