Project Description:
Construction of a 30 meter high grout curtain which will ensure that the 10,000 wooden poles on which the Parliament building rests continues to stay under the ground water level. Retractable casing is first drilled into the ground with Wassara W100. Jet-grouting is then performed as the casing is pulled up.
Maurizio Biondi, Hercules Trevi Foundation:
"Watered powered drilling is a flexible and good way to get the job done”
"A project which has attracted a great deal of attention. It might have been possible to perform the reinforcement of the foundation for the Parliament building without Wassaras water-powered drilling system. But it would have been much more difficult. We drill under water and in difficult ground conditions. Cement is then injected into the drilled holes. To drill with air had not been possible due to the ground conditions. Wassaras water-powered drilling system proved to be the best solution this time too. It is now six years since we discovered the advantages with Wassara."
