Project Description:
As a part of the construction work of Södra Länken, a new high-way link south of Stockholm, a grout curtain made up of 128 jet columns was created. The purpose of the grout curtain was to avoid infiltration water from leaking into the rock tunnels of Södra Länken at Nobel Valley. Wassara was considered the most suitable technical choice. The choice was based on the fact that the formation consisted of moraine with high water flow, high requirements on minimal impact on surrounding formation as well as with regards to the drilling capacity. Finally, the jet grouting work was performed with a so called ”single-system”.
Result:
The project was completed according to given frames with respect to minimal impact on surrounding formation as well as the impermeability of the grout curtain.
