Project Description:
Reinforcement of bridge foundations. The entrepreneur, Universale, first drilled 20 meter deep holes with Wassara W100. The holes were then reamed up from 165 mm to 200 mm before grouting. There were two reasons for choosing Wassara:
- The large amounts of water in the formation made the use of pneumatic hammers difficult.
- Since it was possible to use the jet-grouting pump to run the Wassara hammer it was not necessary to have an air-compressor on site.
Result:
No problems were experienced when switching from drilling with W100 to grouting.
