Blast holes with W100 at Williams Gold Mine, Canada

Project Description:

Drilling of 30 meter long blast holes in Williams Gold Mine, Ontario, Canada. The drilling direction is downwards. As in the case of the LKAB mines in northern Sweden, the great benefit for the mine in using Wassara is the ability of the system to drill very straight holes which results in higher gold ore return per drilled blast hole meter. Furthermore the working conditions in the mine are much improved due to less dust in the air and no oil mist.

Result:

During the introduction of the Wassara system in the Williams mine personnel from Wassara spent a total of five weeks on site to train the Williams drilling crews to use and maintain the Wassara system.
